Alina Shevchuk’s “The Boardslide: Storytelling through Skateboarding” workshop offers a unique blend of narrative and technical skills. Here’s a brief overview of what participants can expect:

Introduction and Lecture: The workshop begins with an insightful lecture by Alina Shevchuk, covering the basics of filmmaking, storytelling techniques, and how to capture compelling footage.

Outdoor Shooting: After the lecture, participants will head outdoors to start filming. Documentary-style and candid clips will be captured in various locations, starting at Gravity Corner Skateboard Store.

Skatepark Action: Participants will then follow the skater to a skatepark, where they’ll have the chance to shoot action-packed footage of tricks, interactions with peers, and the vibrant atmosphere of the park.

Comprehensive Learning: Throughout the day, participants will gain hands-on experience capturing the diverse elements of skateboarding culture and lifestyle.

Mandatory Requirement:
Participants are required to bring at least a UHS-I UHS Speed Class 3 or V30-V90 SD memory card.

Transportation:
Grand Stores will provide complimentary transportation from the Grand Stores Garhoud showroom to Aljada and back. The call time is 2 PM.

Join an open Spin Class at Wellfit!

Wellfit invites Aljada residents to their Spin studio for Free classes with coach Nada this summer. There’s limited capacity so book early. These free evening classes are for all genders and will take place on 16 July, and 13 August, all at 19:45 pm.

Ladies-only body movement classes

Learn exciting moves to get your body in great shape with a special movement class for women at YourSpace in collaboration with Wellfit. The next available slots for this fun class are on 22 July, 19 August and 23 September at 7:30 pm. Apply above.
