Legacy Partner Arada takes part in another successful Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival and pledges support for two more years
News: 6 February 2024
Following another hugely successful Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF), the region’s largest event for startups, Arada has announced that it will continue acting as Legacy Partner for two more years.
This year’s edition of SEF took place on 3-4 February, with more than 10,000 attendees visiting the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) to watch more than 350 startups showcase their platforms and hear from over 200 speakers, including UAE Minister of State for Youth HE Sultan Al Neyadi and Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation.
Arada’s dynamic partnership with Sheraa, the organisation behind SEF, exemplifies the power of long-term alliances in entrepreneurship. By serving as Impact Partner, Arada asserted its participation through the festival’s ‘Impact Zone’, which hosted SEF’s main ceremonies and served as a platform for global and local speakers throughout the festival. Aligned with SEF 2024’s theme, “Our Shared Canvas,” the Impact Zone offers insights into diverse entrepreneurial sectors, spotlighting entrepreneurs as leaders driving societal and global change.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said: “Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival is one of the region’s most important and powerful events, promoting innovation, collaboration and ideas that are designed to boost local economies. This long-term partnership with Sheraa is in line with Arada’s own commitment to create engaged, empowered and dynamic communities that have the ability to realise the potential of future generations.”
Najla Al Midfa, CEO of Sheraa, lauded Arada’s consistent support for the SEF and Sheraa’s initiatives. “Arada’s commitment is part of our festival’s success, symbolizing the strength of collaborative efforts in fostering the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
During the event, attendees also had the opportunity to hear from Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, who took part in a panel entitled ‘Tough Times, Strong Leaders: Leadership Principles for Uncertain Times’, which discussed ways to lead one’s business during challenging periods.
